• Chronologically follow the expansion of Paris since antiquity by crossing what remains of each of its former borders: Gallo-Roman rampart in the Ile de la Cité, enclosure of Philippe Auguste in the Marais, arch of the Porte Saint-Martin on the site of the Charles V enclosure, the walls of the Farmers General in the Stalingrad district, Thiers à la Villette enclosure… …
• Relive the main transformations of Paris over the centuries. On the top of the holy mountain Geneviève and in the arenas of Lutèce, visualize the ancient foundations of the city. On the right bank, between the Pont Neuf and the Royal Palace, admire the legacy left by the Renaissance embellishments. Between the Opera district and the Pont Alexandre III, understand the 19th century transformations that gave Paris its current appearance. Between La Villette and Pantin, discuss the changes underway and the advent of Greater Paris…
• Through this chronological journey, follow a multitude of transversal themes concerning history urban area of Greater Paris: changes in architecture and housing, history of the network and modes of transport, multiplication of public facilities, economy and industry, culture, changes in the governance of Paris and its relations with the State, the region and the suburban municipalities…
• This visit will also be an opportunity to ride a mobylette in the splendid streets of Paris and its suburbs!
